I spent years being ashamed of wanting to do more than one thing with my life.

Don’t be.

Embrace your authenticity.
Find your creative voice.

Let’s work together. . .

CREATIVE COACHING

You’ve read The War of Art, The Artist’s Way, or Creating a Life Worth Living; Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic is your guide and still the mornings without writing pass, leaving you feeling bad about the day.

Each year, “write more” or “finish the book” is on your resolution list. And still, you never meet your goal.

Each year, you feel less like a writer and more like a poser. You aren’t.

You can do this.

This is where I come in. We take all your knowledge and work together to develop your craft and your process. We work together on accountability until you can be accountable to yourself with confidence. Your work improves. I give feedback on your work—not to make you into me or anyone else, but to hone your voice, to hone your craft, and to set you on the path to your creative writing life, however you define it. We customize the coaching experience to your needs. We can, of course, combine this coaching with writing consultation. Write that short story, play, or novel. And finish it.

  • We set up attainable weekly goals.

  • We decide a method of accountability—and I hold you to it.

  • We meet at least twice a month to review work and set up goals.

  • We have you participate in a Salon so you can share your work-in-progress with writers, artists, and the creative community.

LEGAL WRITING COACHING

A former appellate attorney with more than twenty years of teaching experience, I work with practitioners to hone their writing process to make it more effective. And in doing so, those practitioners gain confidence and their writing becomes more authoritative and persuasive.

Do any of the following apply to you?

  1. When your supervisor assigns you a writing project, do you feel anxious?

  2. How many times do you catch an awkward sentence after you’ve sent an email?

  3. Has the recipient of your email or letter ever misunderstood your tone?

  4. Are you relying too much on templates and boiler plate language?

  5. Are you missing persuasive opportunities in your writing?

  6. Do you find that you haven’t improved your process or argumentation since law school?

Most errors in writing actually occur because people do not have a firm handle on their writing process—from brainstorming, to outlining, to drafting, to revising to maximize reader engagement. Let me help you become a stronger advocate.
